Christ Church stands at the crossroads of Broad Street, Wine Street, Corn Street and High Street, the site of the medieval High Cross and the heart of the Saxon town. The present church was designed and built by William Paty in the late eighteenth century. The parish was later joined with that of St Ewen, whose church stood nearby on the corner of Corn Street and Broad Street.

Do you remember Broad Street?
A coffee and an email at NetGates in 1996, a haircut at Wild At Heart, brunch at Ironworks, or a desk in the offices upstairs: if you have a photo or a story about No. 51 or its neighbours, from any decade, we would love to see it.
